October 6, 2018 On Saturday, October 6, at 10:00AM, the community is invited to the re-dedication/ribbon cutting of the Smyrna Sensory Garden. The garden is located within the Smyrna Community Center beyond the game room and is a quiet, tranquil place to sit and relax.
Oct 13, 2018 9th Annual Plant Sale - Smyrna Community Center Field
8 am - Noon Annual sale with nice variety of Fall sun and shade plants mainly from members' gardens. You'll find shrubs, ground covers & pansies for Fall planting to beautify your landscape & gardens as well as wreaths for home decor. Proceeds support our scholarship, educational and community projects. We have relocated our sale to the field on the west side of the Smyrna Community Center along Atlanta Rd. and as part of the Fresh Market.
Oct 22, 2018 Atlanta History Center Field Trip 4 pm
The care and maintenance of Hydrangeas program at Atlanta History Center’s Woodruff Auditorium in McElreath Hall. Purpose of the American Hydrangea Society is to learn about the genus Hydrangea, including species, cultivars, culture, habits, hardiness and performance.
Trip includes dinner at OK Café at 5 pm then we would head to the History center on Paces Ferry Road for our 7:00 pm meeting with the American Hydrangeas Society. You can sign up at the Sept. 25th meeting. Trip is in lieu of regular October 23rd meeting.
